Apart from the scenic beauty and lush green landscapes, Bhutan is also popular for its rich culture and old-age rituals that have been practised for generations. The country is home to diverse communities each of which has its own identity, culture and rituals that can be witnessed in the various parts of the country. Ngalong, Sharchop, Kheng and Nepali are dominant tribes that account for more than 98% of the total population.

The people of Bhutan are calm, friendly and helpful in nature. Agriculture is the major source of livelihood along with tourism highly contributes towards the total revenue of the country. The rich culture of Bhutan can also be witnessed in the clothing of the people; Gho and Kira are the traditional dresses which are worn by people on a daily basis.
