Bhutan has 46 species of rhododendrons. Most of these species thrive at an elevation of 1,200 meters to 4,800 meters. The best time to visit Bhutan to enjoy the rhododendrons is the four months of April, May, June, and July. During these months, the wild rhododendrons are at their glory and a trip to Bhutan would ensure that you experience many species of this wild beauty.
Many of the rhododendrons are found to exist in assemblages and they vary according to altitudes, aspect, and longitudinal east-west axis. Of the 46 species found in Bhutan, four are endemic. There are about 1,200 species of rhododendrons globally.
At Actual Bhutan Tours, we organize all kinds of Rhododendron Tours. We are sharing two common itineraries for rhododendron lovers.
